Michael Braun studied Law at the judicial faculties of the Universities Hamburg, Lausanne and Munich. His expertise in the renewables and project financing sector reaches back to 1996 when he represented various international clients in the emerging PV and Clean Tech Sector, as Attorney at Law and partner of a Munich based law firm. From 2000 until 2007, he was the German representative of Comerica Bank, Los Angeles. Since 2008 he independently worked in project financing in various asset classes as principal of former consulting firm, Provest KG, which cooperated with many international institutional and strategic investors and lenders being engaged in equity and debt financing in the renewables sector. Since 2011, Mr. Braun focuses on the financing of Deep Geothermal Power Plant projects in Germany and M&A transactions in most areas of the renewables sector. At Exterra Capital, Mr. Braun is responsible for the Deep Geothermal sector, equity procurement, project financing and General Management.
Jon Boles studied International Relations at Davidson College (USA), the Julius-Maximilians Universität Würzburg and the University of Cologne (on a Fulbright Scholarship). He attained his Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (Bologna / Washington). Jon has more than 25 years of experience in energy project finance, as a project finance professional at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (in Germany and Latin America), as a member of the management team of the E.ON Group in Europe und as an investor and fundraiser i.a. at Fjord Capital and KGAL Real Assets in the UK and Germany. At Exterra Capital, Jon is responsible for the financing of renewable energy projects in Central Europe and in Emerging Markets.
Dr. Magnus Sedlmayr graduated from the University of Chicago and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland each with an MBA and obtained his doctorate in economics from the University of Budapest. He worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs and privatizations throughout Europe. Prior to becoming CFO at AllMerus Energy Ltd., London Dr. Sedlmayr assumed various leading responsibilities in the VIAG/E.ON Group reaching from treasury, project and acquisition finance, accounting, taxes, asset management to mergers and acquisitions, international corporate development and power trading. At Exterra Capital, Dr Sedlmayr is responsible for equity and debt financing and all transactions relating to the territory of Switzerland.
Georg von Kriegsheim holds a Masters Degree in Economics of the technical University Berlin. Prior to working in the renewables sector, he has worked at Ernst & Young Transaction Services in Frankfurt where he advised private equity clients as well as strategic investors in various business sectors. He served as M&A project manager within E.ON Group (Thüga AG) where he was responsible for the acquisition of natural gas sales and distribution companies in Italy. In 2007, Mr. von Kriegsheim started to work for AllMerus Energy Ltd.. London where he focused on deal structuring, financial modeling and investor relations. At Exterra Capital, Mr. von Kriegsheim focuses on project financing for Biomass, Solar and Wind Projects in Italy.
Ronald Lausch has studied Economic Sciences in Vienna and holds an MBA degree of CSU Hayward. He has more than 20 years of experience in financing real estate and renewable energy projects in Europe including in-depth experience of acquiring , developing and operating renewable assets in Austria and CEE. Mr. Lausch was formerly Executive Vice President Contour Global, a US based Energy company and Managing Director of Renewable Energy Portfolios of Raiffeisen Banking Group with assets in Austria and CEE. He was Managing Director of Raiffeisen Banking Groups Stockholm subsidiary, financing and investing in real estate and renewable assets and held several leading positions within Raiffeisen Banking Group. At Exterra Capital, Mr. Lausch is responsible for wind, solar and hydro power projects, project finance and all projects based in the territory of Austria and Central Eastern Europe (CEE).
Sophia Flohr is Exterra Capital`s youngest Team Member and assumes the function of Personal Assitant to the Management. Sophia holds a University Degree of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and is fluent in English, Russian, French and German.
Joseph Muthu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England and Wales and has an Executive MBA from Warwick. He currently assumes the position of CFO at a London based investment firm where he is responsible for portfolio management and investment of its UK fund. Prior to assuming this position, Mr Muthu has worked in the majority of the European countries in energy and gas distribution, generation and renewables. He has more than 20 years of energy industry experience having been a partner on a fund focussing on renewables across Europe and having held several positions at Duke Energy Europe and Eastern Electricity. At Exterra Capital he serves as Director and Senior Advisor in all financial and administrative matters of the company.
